Famillement is the largest family history event in the Netherlands. The CBG|Center for family history, in cooperation with a regional or city archive, organizes a day full of activities in the field of family history, for both starting and experienced genealogists. Admission is free.

Program

The venues for the event are the Collectie Overijssel and Bibliotheek Deventer. The program includes a variety of interviews, workshops, lectures and ‘meet & greet’ sessions with experts. Amongst the topics to be discussed are the theme of this years event 'New family', latest developments within genealogy and migration.

Information market

A recurring element of the Famillement is the information market, where a large number of regional and (inter)national organizations show and explain their activities in the field of genealogy and family history. It offers visitors an opportunity to gather information and exchange experiences and ideas with local and international fellow enthusiasts. There will be stands specialized in DNA research, heraldry and nobility, German genealogy, and the former Dutch colonies in Surinam and Indonesia. And, of course, the CBG|Center for family history itself will be present to inform and assist you during the day.
